Description
This is a great period rations item that would have been commonly found in many European armies. The jug and wicker are in good condition overall, but there is a small chip in the mouth of the bottle. With a little cleaning, it could still be used at an event to serve up some "water". Jugs like this are seen very often in photos of Germans unloading supplies from a truck. It measures approximately 12 1/2" tall and the bottom is a little over 4 1/4" in diameter. Made in Portugal and it does have US writing on the bottom.
