"Stolen" 1936 Food Sack
Nice example of a general purpose sack used by a company in Germany to transport goods. It is marked "3 Rob. Eisenhauer Böttigheim 1936". Inside the bag is marked"gestohlen" ("stolen") so that someone could not turn it inside out and re-use it.
Bags like this often show up in original front line photos as goods were often delivered to the front in bags like this from various suppliers.
It has two grommets at the top to add a closure rope. It is in decent condition, there is a small hole near the grommet. It has stains and repairs. Great for any rations display.
