German Long Sleeve Striped Dress

Vintage 1940s German blue long sleeve striped dress.

Lovely German dress with painted buttons down the front. It is marked a European size 42 (please check above measurements to ensure fit). The label inside reads, "Emil Möckel  42 Lichtentanne i. Sa." The Emil Möckel clothing company was founded in 1904. There is extra fabric along the waist (like a mini-peplum). It has a hook and eye along the waist and an extra hidden button below that.

It is in overall good wearable condition. There is one flaw that should be fixed before it is worn: a hole underneath one armpit. There is also some wear and fraying along the white collar and a few loose threads. It has a bit of a vintage smell to it. There is extra fabric along the hem; it looks like it was taken up at one point, so it could be lengthened about 2 " to 2 1/2" if you let it back down.
