Agfa 35u film developer. This is a terrific device for home or field developing your film, it is essentially a dark room in a box. It even has a temperature gauge and a built in cutter. This system was introduced in the mid 1930's; I am guessing 1935 by the name of it, but that is speculation. It was produced into the 1950's. What is more interesting is that they seem to be extremely popular with photographers who are still using them today. Instructions in English are available here. Judging from the Bakelite markings, I believe this one is from the war or earlier. I don't typically see these markings after the war and I have owned 1930's dated agfa Bakelite box cameras with the same Bakelite markings.

It is in good condition with only 2 notable flaws, 1. A piece of the sidewall broke out and was glued back in. This is in the outside tray area where you add the chemicals so is doesn't have any effect on the dark room portion of the developer. 2. The film guide part is missing. This part helps guide the film onto the development roller. I am not sure if it is a requirement to operate or just to help avoid headaches with the film spooling properly.

    It measures about 7" by 5 3/8" by a little under 4".
