Description
Original WWII vet bring back German emergency ski repair tip. These were a common accessory for anyone on skies and there was even a bag for the Gebirgs rucksack specifically for carrying these tips along with some other repair parts. The basic idea is that if you break the tip off your ski, which was relatively common with early skis, you could use this to replace the missing tip and get yourself back on the move quickly. The style of these is typically thought of as Swiss but these were brought home by a GI along with loads of other German gear. There are no markings.
