Beautiful reproduction German ID disk leather pouch. It is even embossed with a 4 leaf clover for good luck which was a common trait on many of the originals I have owned over the years. This pouch is rather crucial for winter events as is helps keep the freezing cold ID disk off your skin. I have seen this pouch attached to the ID disk in many different ways but typically the ID doesn't actually go inside the pouch but is kept outside the pouch and under the flap, right over the clover.
A German vet once told our group that he and his men kept 5 Reichsmarks in this pouch. Silver 5 Reichsmark coins, because the girls wouldn't take anything else. This is a tradition I keep alive today with my own ID disk. I only wish I had had a reproduction of the pouch rather than the unissued original I started with many years ago.
