    Original German 1 Rentenmark bank note. The Rentenmark was their way to fix the hyperinflation of the Mark and would later convert to the Reichsmark. The condition of the note is heavily circulated. Originally created in 1923, this note was printed in 1937. This was accepted as payment in Germany up until 1948. This currency was backed by the agricultural land, the Reichs mark was backed by gold, and the two were of equal value and seem to have existed side by side.
