Description: This is an intact early patern steel box for 8cm Gr.W.34 rounds. A good amount of the orignal paint and markings are intact and the internal racks are still present. The hinge is also intact and funtional. There are remnants of paper labels. One of the small clips on the inside is missing (this would have held in the spare charge container.) The wood handle is missing. The box was preserved in Ukrainian mud. This is the best of the boxes that were found together. The surface has paint and rust but no holes. All in all, it is one of the best boxes I have seen. Many of these boxes no longer have the interior racks or were heavily used as tool boxes after the war.
