It is recomended that the little holes are cleaned out first to ensure the posts on this tool go as deep as possible for the best possible grip. The tool is made of steel with hardened steel posts and is coated in black oxid. Not mass produced overseas, these were made here, locally. Put away your needle nose pliers; there is a real tool for that now.
